“For regional dance, a leap”

Herald Tribune – April 28, 2011 - When Erica Janko attended the Boston Dance Alliance’s “Dance for World Community Day” in Cambridge, Mass., during a family trip last summer, she was a little stunned.

“It was a surprise for me to see all the different dance organizations there cooperating,” said the Booker High School Visual and Performing Arts dance student. “That same thing doesn’t exist here in Sarasota.” But, with the never-say-never drive of a 16-year-old and a little work, she figured maybe it could.

Spring Dance Festival Performance

May 2011 – Sarasota, FL -West Coast Civic Ballet, under the direction of Artistic Director, Deborah Vinton, is preparing for WCCB Community 2011 Spring Festival. Dancers and choreographers have been creating new and exciting pieces for our upcoming matinee performance on Sunday, May 15 at 2:00, at Booker High School, Sarasota Visual, and Performing Arts Center.
